Crimson Rosella is one of the most unconventional releases we’ve ever created. It’s a whisky designed to challenge expectations while still delivering depth, balance and serious drinkability.

This limited Rare Series release began its journey in an American oak ex-Heathcote Shiraz cask from Peregrine Ridge Winery. But here’s where things get interesting…

That same cask had previously matured Rosey & The Rabbits; our barrel aged gin featuring Turkish apricot and black lime. Rather than seeing that as sacrilege, we leaned into the experiment.

The whisky was matured in this richly seasoned cask before being blended with 30% ex-bourbon matured whisky and then returned to refill wine casks for final maturation and integration.

The result is bold, layered and unlike anything else in our range.

Expect rich fruit, confectionary sweetness, warming spice and a subtle lift that keeps the whisky vibrant and endlessly intriguing.

Tasting Notes

 Nose

Dried apricots, prune, citrus peel, toasted oak and beeswax.

Palate

Red jelly frogs, custard tart, frangipane and sticky toffee pudding.

Finish

Long, warming, lingering dried fruit and syrupy cake sweetness.

Named after one of Australia’s most colourful native birds, Crimson Rosella reflects the whisky itself; vibrant, playful, distinctive and impossible to ignore.

With only 458 bottles released, this is a rare whisky for adventurous drinkers who appreciate flavour, experimentation and a story worth sharing.
